The sunken pontoon

A garden pontoon moored alongside a houseboat had filled with rainwater, rolled over onto its side and sunk. It had also taken on a considerable amount of silt.

R8 Marine attached four 5-tonne lift bags and inflated them to raise the pontoon and roll it back into a horizontal position. We sealed the hatches and pumped out the water to restore the pontoon’s buoyancy. It was then towed away to be cleaned out and refurbished.
